BMI stands for body mass index. BMI is actually a reference for showing body volume and is the most accurate measure of global obesity. Using this scale, you can find out if you are underweight, overweight or underweight!
If you want to measure your BMI manually, there is a formula by which you can do it. This scale is quite accurate and depends only on the two variables of weight and height.
BMI = (weight in kilograms) divided by (height in meters in power 2)
You can compare the number obtained from the above formula with the following table:
BMI less than 18.5 = weight loss
BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 = normal
BMI between 25 and 29.9 = overweight
BMI equal to 30 or more = overweight
